Kids’ Surf Camp in Rye, NH
Summer Sessions is the absolute best place in New Hampshire for kids to learn to surf. Kids’ Surf Camp is the perfect way for new surfers to learn and progress in the sport alongside their friends. No experience necessary and all equipment is included!
Our instructors will work with your child to help get them accustomed to the mechanics and timing of the waves as well as teach them the skills to enjoy riding them. And they will have a ton of fun as well. If they have never surfed before, this is their chance to learn! If they have surfed before, our camps help refine their techniques and develop a foundation for more advanced maneuvers.
Kids’ Surf Camp offers:
- Five days of Surf Camp (Monday-Friday)
- Professional instruction from a staff with more than 40 years of surf experience
- Brand new boards and wetsuits
- Maximum student to instructor ratio of 3:1
- Convenient location on Rye Beach next to the Beach Club on Sawyers Beach (100 yards south of Jenness State Beach)
- The opportunity to meet new people and learn to surf in a fun and comfortable environment
- All camp participants will receive a hat and t-shirt
Our Surf Classes will emphasize:
- Development of balance and strength
- Safety and etiquette
- Knowledge and respect for the ocean
- Judging and catching waves
- Paddling, standing up, turning, and riding down the line
