KidsPLAY is the Eliot Recreation Department’s before and after school program for children in grades K-5. Activities include arts & crafts, sports, games, and homework time. A personalized painting will then be created by each artist. A unique canvas will be taken home after every session of the Kids Paint Party. There will be different inspiration ideas at each class.Thursday 10/15: FeltingExplore the world of fiber arts with Miss Gina and learn how to create felted creatures or landscapes! All materials provided as well as finger socks for safety.Thursday 11/19: Slime PartySlime Recipe cards are passed out and artists take some time to fill out the “inspiration” section, some small coloring pages are offered or artists can make up their own. We encourage artists to think about what they want their slime to look like and what they may be inspired by. Kids will then mix and make their slime. Then “Slime bar” is opened and artists are encouraged to reference the inspiration that they have chosen before picking mix-ins (beads, sand, shaving cream, model magic, foam beads, etc.)Thursday 12/10: ClayArtists will use model magic to create a 3-D sculpture. Whatever they can dream, Miss Gina will help them to build with fun air-dry style clay! At the end of this class, artists will leave with a sculpture of their design and the skills to continue working with model magic clay!

KidsPLAY is the Eliot Recreation Department’s before and after school program for children in grades K-5. Activities include arts & crafts, sports, games, and homework time. Transportation will be provided from the Marshwood Great Works School for participants that are in grades 4 and 5.2026-2027 School Year Daily Rates:$12 per day Before School Only (M-F)$27 per day After School Only (M,T, W, F)$34 per day Before & After School Combo (M, T, W, F)$37 per day THURSDAY After School Care$44 per day Thursday Before & After Care Combo KidsPLAY Hours of Operation:Before Care M-F 7:00am-start of schoolGreat Works kids will need to be dropped off at KidsPLAY prior to the departure time of the bus to MGWS.After Care: M,T, W, Th: end of school day until 5:30 Fridays end of school day until 4:302026-2027 Things to Remember:-$5 discount applied for days your child attends BOTH before & after care- KidsPLAY is closed on all State of Maine holidays and when indicated on monthly calendars- If there is no school due to inclement weather, or any other unforeseen reason, KidsPLAY will also be closed. -You are required to pay for the days that you are registered for, even if your child does not attend that day (i.e. your child is sick)-You are financially committed to the days/ times marked on your calendar once calendars have been processed. -Any changes for the upcoming month must be indicated on the monthly calendar and returned to the Eliot Recreation Department Administrative Assistant by the 20th of the month for the upcoming month. - We kindly ask that you are in a paid ahead status. You have the option to pay weekly or monthly. Payment is due by the Thursday prior to the week of enrollment. Registration for 2026-2027 school year begins July 13th.

Join local artist Katherine Cusack and the Players Ring Theatre for a fun-filled Theatre Club! Through games, improvisation, storytelling, and creative collaboration, participants will build acting skills, stage presence, listening abilities, communication skills, and confidence. Along the way, young performers will work together toward a final presentation while exploring the power of their brains, voices, and bodies.
